Canada have expressed interest in American Jesse Marsch and ex-Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for their vacant head coach position.

WHAT HAPPENED?
According to , both Marsch and Solskjaer have been approached by the Canadian Soccer Federation over their vacant head coach position. The ex-United boss has been out of work since being sacked in 2021, with Marsch being available since February 2023 – when he was removed by Leeds.

The report adds that former Chelsea and Real Madrid assistant Paul Clement is in the running, as well as Forge FC boss Bobby Smyrniotis and ex-Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka. Canada, alongside the U.S. and Mexico, will host the 2026 World Cup. They qualified for the 2022 World Cup – their first appearance in 36 years – but boss John Herdman left his role shortly thereafter for MLS side Toronto.
